Ivy Tea Rose, Incorporated partners with Home Depot and various Mental Health organizations for a Day of Service

October 29, 2016

Winter Park and Eatonville, FL - We divided and conquered today! Our #chapterofchoice began our day of service with the help of #TeamHomeDepot, and local #Veterans to refurbish the playground at Margaret Square Apartments in Winter Park.

Just around the corner and up the street in historic Eatonville at Macedonia Missionary Baptist church, we sponsored our first Mental Health Summit. We thank all of our vendors and Panelists (Aspire Health Partners, Life Counseling Solutions, NAMI, Mental Health Association of Central Florida, Impower, and the Honorable Judge Reginald K. Whitehead) for participating and providing answers to a very prevalent, very debilitating disease (if left untreated) in our community. Special thanks and kudos goes out to our moderator "Extraordinaire", Ms. R Monica May! The forum was free and open to the public. It provided a safe place to ask questions, discuss and participate in an open dialogue about mental illness, how to recognize and what resources are available.

Yes! We did all this in addition to collecting Seasonal Wraps to be distributed later and providing fresh produce to the residents of Margaret Square!

Today was a good day to have a good day!
